No matter what kind of ecommerce you have, it is always useful to have many different payment methods. Besides the common options, such as bank slips, credit or debit cards or even bank deposits, a wide range of online payments are available for users. The best known of all is PayPal, but not everyone feels comfortable with this platform and sometimes it is necessary to offer other options. Because of that, we have created a list of eight alternatives to PayPal that you can use in your ecommerce, providing more payment options available to your business.

1. Payza

This payment method has grown tremendously over the past few years and you will quickly understand why. Payza can be used for both personal use and for your ecommerce business. It accepts payments from 190 countries, has above-average fraud security and you do not need to make any monthly payments; you pay only a fee for each transaction.

Currently, more than 100,000 ecommerce sites are using Payza. Another interesting feature of this tool is the In-Page Checkout: you can create a checkout field without the need for the user to visit another page.

Another positive aspect is that you can send receipts to your customers using the same tool. The payment fees of the platform varies from country to country, but is generally around 3%.

2. Payoneer

Unlike PagSeguro, Payoneer aims at receiving international payments. It is especially useful for freelancers, buyers or ecommerce’s that export or import goods and services from abroad. For example, a hotel that receives foreign visitors in Brazil can offer the option of daily payments in dollars, being paid by Payoneer.

It is possible to register a local bank account or request a prepaid card to use with your account in Payoneer. By electing to receive a card - MasterCard - you can use it for shopping or withdrawing cash at ATMs around the world. Even with the card, you can still choose to transfer money to your local account.

3. 2Checkout

2Checkout

Aimed at ecommerces, 2Checkout provides eight different payment methods - including PayPal itself, in addition to supporting up to 87 different currencies. It has two checkout options, a standard - similar to what we see in PagSeguro, but with the advantage to adapt to the device used to access it. The other option allows the checkout in Payoneer to be made directly on the page. Both alternatives have a checkout editor, which allows you to customize the page with your visual identity.

Payoneer also offers integration with many tools for "shopping carts." Its platform also supports payments for subscription services and mobile application for iPhone, iPad and Android.

4. Click2Sell

Click2Sell is another extremely interesting platform that allows its customers to make payments using PayPal, Google Checkout or Skrill. Another very interesting aspect are its reports, which give a clear idea of what is happening in your checkout, such as visitors in real time or the number of sales.

For those who want to work with affiliates, Click2Sell is also an excellent choice because it creates its own affiliate platform.

5. Stripe

Stripe

With a focus on customization and making the life easier for developers who make the integration between the site and the online payment platform, Stripe has a wide range of libraries that can be used by these professionals. It also supports mobile devices with iOS and Android, as well as less conventional payment methods, such as Apple and Android Play.

Currently, services like Lyft - the direct competitor of Uber - and Instacart, Instagram shopping platform, adopted Stripe as their online payment platform as an alternative to PayPal. It offers recurring payments and allows proper billing after test periods if you are a seller of subscription services and provides free periods of service as strategy, as does Netflix.

6. Moip

One of the online payment tools for ecommerce, Moip can also be considered one of the most flexible alternative to PayPal. It has features similar to the previous tools, such as checkout within the own website, billing e-mail, support for subscription services and integrated mobile apps.

However, it is one of those that offers more payment methods, in addition to the common options, it also allows the ecommerce to accept Ello, American Express, as well as online debit. It also has options to buy with one click and provides solutions to physical stores. Its rate for payment with cards is 5.49% + 0.69 per approved transaction and the online rate is 3.49% + 0.69 per successful transaction.

7. PayU

PayU is a service available in Latin America and newcomer to the country, replacing Bcash in Brazil. The platform has options for small or large ecommerces. Among its differences, the possibility to pay both on the website as in a mobile application or even on social networks are available to sellers.

It has the same features described in the previous sections, in addition to having the ability to store customers’ credit card information in your ecommerce to facilitate future purchases on your website. It also has integration with shopping cart softwares, as well as the possibility of sending discount coupons. Its rate is 3.99% + 0.39 for each successful transaction.

8. WorldPay

One alternative to PayPal with a different approach to most of the examples shown here, WorldPay offers a solution for payments by credit card. Its focus is on reducing the bounce rate of cards used on the service, providing compatibility with most types of payments made by card, ranging from simple, divided or recurring purchases.

Another of the proposals from WorldPay is to increase conversion rates and reduce processing costs, although their rates are not clear on their page. WorldPay also offers other payment options in addition to card, although its focus is on the abovementioned service.
